Rio de Janeiro - day (FEB 27)

With a late night ahead of us, we decided to walk around the city this morning.  We hoped to find some floats being moved to or from their parade venue.  We succeeded.
It is amazing to see these floats collapsed and being maneuvered around turns and down streets.  It is a good thing the streets are closed to traffic because the stop lights and directional signage are swung clear to give more clearance.

We walked back by way of the Museum of Tomorrow, then down the terminal mall to the ship.
It was time for some lunch and a long nap.  The first parade at the Sambadrome does not start until 10:00 PM!
